Our 2022 Keynote Speakers
Sixth Annual PPE Society Meeting
We are delighted to announce our two Keynote Speakers for the Sixth Annual PPE Society Meeting, to be held November 3-5, 2022, in New Orleans, at the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel:
Raj Chetty is the William A. Ackman Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He is also the Director of Opportunity Insights, which uses “big data” to understand how we can give children from disadvantaged backgrounds better chances of succeeding. Chetty’s research combines empirical evidence and economic theory to help design more effective government policies. His work on topics ranging from tax policy and unemployment insurance to education and affordable housing has been widely cited in academia, media outlets, and Congressional testimony.
Jenna Bednar is professor of political science and public policy at the University of Michigan and research professor at the Center for Political Studies, Institute for Social Research. Her research focuses on how collective action builds social goods and the role that government plays in making that collaboration possible. Current work includes: robust system design, especially of federalism; how culture affects the way people respond to laws and norms; and public policy to support human social flourishing.
