Geoff Sayre-McCord, Director
Geoff Sayre-McCord is the Director of UNC’s Philosophy, Politics, & Economics Program. He is also the Founding Director of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Society, an international scholarly society for those interested in the issues that arise at the intersection of the three disciplines in the Society’s name.
Sayre-McCord was a Professorial Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh from 2013 until 2016 and is now a Regular Distinguished Visiting Professor there. He was on leave for the 2015-16 academic year at the Center for Human Values at Princeton University, where he was the Laurance S. Rockefeller Visiting Professor for Distinguished Teaching.
Kori Hensell, Managing Director
Kori Hensell is the Managing Director for the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Society and UNC’s Philosophy, Politics, & Economics Program.
Kori holds an M.F.A. and an M.A. from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in creative writing and English literature, respectively. Before joining the PPE Society’s leadership, Kori served as advisor for student government, writing instructor, and poetry workshop leader.

Ian Cruise, Program Director
Ian Cruise is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Political Economy Project and Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Dartmouth College.
His work focuses on moral philosophy, political philosophy, and their respective histories. He is especially influenced by Hume’s contributions to these areas, which is reflected in several of his papers.
Rebekah Middleton, Program Coordinator
Rebekah has a B.A. in Philosophy from NC State and is passionate about the interdisciplinary nature of the arts, humanities, and social sciences. In addition to serving on the PPE’s administrative team, Rebekah is active in the Triangle arts community and plays viola with the Raleigh Civic Symphony.
