CALL FOR PROPOSALS: 2020 American Political Science Association (APSA) ANNUAL MEETING

APSA holds the largest annual meeting of political scientists in the world.  Typically, session proposals are more likely accepted than individual proposals. For the 2019 APSA meeting, the PPE Society organized two session submissions, both of which were accepted. To facilitate the construction of session proposals, we have created a spreadsheet to facilitate PPE researchers to find each other and form session proposals.

In filling out the spreadsheet, proposers should state their submission title, brief submission abstract, submission type, divisions you’d like to submit to, your name, and email address. Please note, that while you may enter multiple proposals into the spreadsheet, APSA does have limitations on participation, which you should be familiar with before submitting your proposal(s) to APSA. Detailed instructions about the APSA submissions system are here.

After entering your proposal in the spreadsheet, occasionally check back in on the spreadsheet to see what other proposals have been put forth. If you find other proposals with which you think you could form a session, contact those proposers. Once a group of proposers has agreed to submit a joint session proposal, those proposers should remove their proposals from the spreadsheet. Note, the current APSA submission deadline is January 14, 2020. The link to access the SPREADSHEET CAN BE FOUND HERE.

If you have any questions about submitting to APSA or the spreadsheet, please don’t hesitate to contact Mahendra Prasad mrprasad@berkeley.edu
